All filmmakers, independent creators, and professionals from Mexico and abroad,
as well as students of film, animation, visual arts, communication, and related
programs from public and private universities, to participate in the Tenth Edition of
Tlanchana Fest, Digital Art and Film Festival, which will take place from July 1 to 5
in Toluca, State of Mexico.
To complete your registration, you must follow these steps:
Go to one of the available platforms: Movibeta,
Festhome, FilmFreeway,
or Click for Festivals, where you can upload your work.
Complete the registration form within the chosen platform.
Make the registration payment:
- FilmFreeway: $7 (USD)
- Movibeta: 6€
- Festhome: 6€
- Click for Festivals: 6€
The submission of works will be accepted from the publication of
this call until 11:59 PM on february 28, 2026, Mexico time (GMT-5).
To register at the state level:
- Send via Google Drive a link with your short film in .mov format (h264 codec, max 1GB) to inscripcion@tlanchanafest.xyz.
- Include a press kit with still photographs, a synopsis in English and
Spanish, a biography and photo of the director, a technical sheet, and a
copy of the participant's valid official ID proving residency in the State of Mexico.
For the exhibition:
All selected films must send a digital download link after the Official Selection announcement. Films must have English subtitles, and if not in Spanish, must be subtitled in both languages.
Categories in Competition:
- Fiction Short Film
- Animation Short Film
- Experimental Short Film
- Documentary Short Film
- Music Video
- Series for television and the internet
Feature Film Showcase Categories:
- Fiction Feature Film
- Documentary Feature Film
- Animation Feature Film
Restrictions for Feature Films:
- Must be a debut film (director's first feature) or a premiere.
- Not eligible for awards, but may receive Honorable Mention.
General Guidelines:
- The Jury may declare a category vacant.
- The decision of the Jury is final.
- No restriction on the number of films a participant can submit.
- Each film may only be entered into one category.
- Selected works may become part of the Tlanchana Fest Touring Showcase during 2026 and early 2027.
