All artists, artistic collectives, professors, students, and graduates of Visual Arts,
Plastic Arts, and Digital Arts programs, as well as related disciplines, from Mexico and abroad,
to participate in the Digital Art exhibition that will be part of the Ninth Edition of
Tlanchana Fest, Digital Art and Film Festival, to be held from July 1 to 5, 2026, in Toluca,
State of Mexico.
Registration Method:
Request and complete the registration form available on our website
www.tlanchanafest.xyz.
Submit this form along with photographs / Demo Reel, a description of the
artwork not exceeding one page, a biography of the artist or collective submitting
the artwork, official identification documents (INE, DNI, Visa, or Passport, or a
similar one) in PDF format, curriculum vitae, and a link to a private video of the
artwork on Vimeo to the email inscripcion@tlanchanafest.xyz.
The submission of works will be accepted until 11:59 PM on febraury 28, 2026,
Mexico time (GMT-5).
Artwork Exhibition:
● Once the artworks are selected, participants will be notified by email,
requesting specific details about the work. Additionally, location and
shipping details for the artwork will be provided.
● The received artworks (depending on their nature) will be displayed at various
locations in the town center, as well as in cultural institutions and/or digital spaces.
● Participants must send the elements for setting up their artwork no
later than Sunday, June 15, 2026, along with a description of it and
detailed instructions on how to install it.
Guidelines:
● The theme of each work is at the discretion of the participants.
● If plagiarism is detected, the work will be immediately disqualified.
● Each artist or collective wishing to participate with one or more works may
submit a maximum of three pieces.
● This Digital Art call includes four types of works: Object Art, Installation,
Videoapping, and online projects.
● The selected artist or collective must grant this Festival a temporary
and non-exclusive license for the exhibition of their artwork only during the
five days of its tenth edition.
● The selected artists or collectives must (if possible) attend or send a
representative for the exhibition of their works.
● The Festival will offer only two accreditations per selected work.
● The selection criteria for the artwork will be regulated as follows:
Object Art: Dedicated to small pieces that require an enclosed space for display,
for which the use of transmedia technologies and a current theme will be essential.
Installations not exceeding 2x2x2 meters and fully complying with all the requirements
of the call may be admitted.
Installation: For pieces that can be shown outdoors and meet all the necessary requirements
for setup.
Mapping: Projections on various representative architectural spaces in Metepec,
through the intervention of their facades.
● Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of the guidelines and general aspects.
● The participant must fully comply with all the requirements and take the necessary steps
for the exhibition of the artwork.
● The festival will not provide transportation, accommodation, or meals in any case.
Restrictions:
● The theme of the artwork is free; however, since it will be exhibited in
public spaces, creators are asked to avoid including images of nudity,
explicit sexual content, visual violence, or any other material that
could offend the sensitivity of viewers.
● The piece must be delivered in optimal condition for exhibition.
● The Festival will not be responsible for any potential damage to the
artwork or its components during shipping, and if this happens, the
piece may be removed from the selection, excluding it from the exhibition.
● The pieces sent must match 100% with the images or videos previously submitted for
selection. If these do not match, it will result in immediate disqualification of
the work, and it will not be exhibited.
● Under no circumstances will works that are potentially risky to the safety
of the public, the exhibition venues, or the environment be accepted.
● Shipping costs for the artwork will be covered by the participant(s).
● It is the author's responsibility to check all customs procedures and
transport insurance for the artwork.
● No artwork may exceed the dimensions of 3x3x3 meters (once assembled),
except for works under the object art category, which will be limited to 2x2x2 meters.
Evaluation:
● The received works will be evaluated and selected by the Programming and Content Department of this Festival.
● The decision made by the Programming and Content Department of this Festival will be final.
● Any technical or organizational details not foreseen in this call will be resolved by the Programming and Content Department of this Festival.
